According to the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (Ideam) , during the weekend of July 4-6, the heaviest rains will be concentrated in the Pacific region, the northern Andean region and sectors of the Caribbean region .
In contrast, the state forecasts mostly dry conditions in the Orinoquia and Amazon regions.
In Bogotá, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected, with sporadic rain at different times of the day.
Friday, July 4th Towards the end of the afternoon, mostly dry conditions are expected with light to partly cloudy skies in eastern Nariño, northern Huila, central and eastern Tolima, western Cundinamarca, eastern Antioquia , large sectors of Norte de Santander and central Boyacá, as well as in the departments of Atlántico, Cesar, Magdalena and La Guajira.
According to the IDEAM report, dry weather is also expected in the southern Amazon. Rainfall of varying intensity will occur in the Pacific, Amazon, and Orinoco regions, as well as in the western and northern Andean regions and the southern Caribbean.
The heaviest accumulations are projected for parts of Chocó, Valle del Cauca, Cauca, and Nariño , with convective cores especially in the afternoon and evening. Significant rainfall is also expected in parts of Antioquia, Santander, Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío, eastern Cundinamarca, and large areas of Arauca, Casanare, Vichada, Meta, Guaviare, Guainía, Vaupés, Caquetá, Putumayo, and northern Amazonas.
For San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina , partly cloudy skies are forecast, with the possibility of rain, mainly towards the south and west of the maritime zone.

For the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, partly cloudy skies are expected with the possibility of rain, especially toward the west and southwest of the maritime zone.
