On May 11, the Ministry of Health released an updated report on the yellow fever situation in Colombia. It explains that between 2024 and 2025, 86 confirmed cases have been recorded, of which 38 have died.

Health authorities have expressed concern about the speed of transmission and the lethal impact of the virus . The distribution of cases is as follows:
Figures and the department with the highest infection rates- Tolima: 68 cases (25 deaths, 43 alive)
- Putumayo: 7 cases (5 deaths, 2 alive)
- Nariño: 2 cases (1 deceased, 1 alive)
- Caquetá: 2 cases (1 deceased, 1 alive)
- Huila: 1 case (1 deceased)
- Cauca: 1 case (1 deceased)
- Caldas: 1 case (1 deceased)
- Goal: 2 cases (2 deaths)
- Guaviare: 1 case (1 deceased)
- Vaupés: 1 case (1 person alive)

The Ministry of Health reminded citizens of the importance of having an updated vaccination certificate.
- Go to the page (https://mivacuna.sispro.gov.co/MiVacuna?v1).
- Accept the terms and conditions regarding data processing.
- Select the type of document with which the vaccination was registered.
- Enter and confirm the identification number.
- Enter the date the document was issued.
- Complete the captch code presented by the platform.
- Press the 'Generate Digital Vaccination Card' button.
- Download the document in digital format to your cell phone or computer.

According to the Ministry of Health, if the digital ID card does not reflect the yellow fever dose, despite having been administered, the user must go to a vaccination center . There, health personnel can verify the situation and manually enter the information into the system.
The Ministry clarified that the platform update may take between 24 and 48 hours after the IPS registers the vaccination.
In cases where the person does not have documentary evidence but remembers having been vaccinated, the protocol establishes that they must sign a vaccination history declaration as support for entering the data into the system.
