The Ibex 35 exceeds 15,000 points after 18 years

The Ibex 35 closed above 15,000 points for the first time since December 2007 , its highest level in 18 years , in a context marked by market expectations that the Fed will lower rates next month due to inflation data and after two days of gains on Wall Street.
Specifically, the index closed Wednesday's session at 15,019.9 points , up 1.08%. During the session, the index reached over 15,032 points.
Considering closing prices only, this is the highest since December 28, 2007. However, based on intraday variation, it is the highest since January 2, 2008.
The index reacted in this way after two days of gains on Wall Street, as yesterday's CPI data for July was released, showing a 2.7% increase in prices , unchanged from June.
In this context, Rovi was the main rising value (+3.42%), above Fluidra (+2.79%), Grifols (+2.18%), Puig (+1.83%), Iberdrola (+1.70%) and BBVA (+1.68%).
On the other hand, five stocks closed Wednesday with losses: Indra (-0.63%), Repsol (-0.52%), Merlin (-0.38%), IAG (-0.11%) and ArcelorMittal (-0.03%).
At the European level, London rose 0.19%; Paris 0.66%; Frankfurt 0.67%; and Milan 0.60%.
