Decathlon opens its 19th store in Colombia with a new sustainable concept in Bogotá.

The French multi-sport brand Decathlon opened its 19th store in Colombia at the Atlantis Shopping Center in Bogotá's Zona T , one of the capital's most dynamic shopping and entertainment epicenters.
The opening introduces an innovative concept, as the space will be one of the first in the country to adopt the company's new sustainable image , with environmentally friendly materials and a refreshed design that seeks to transform the shopping experience for users.
With a surface area of over 636 square meters, the Decathlon Atlantis store will offer items for more than 60 sports disciplines, from mountaineering and cycling to padel tennis, fitness, swimming, and soccer.
The operation will generate direct and indirect jobs in the city, contributing to local economic development and strengthening the company's presence in the Colombian market, according to Portafolio.
“ With this opening, we reinforce our commitment to promoting sports as a driver of well-being and community, facilitating access to innovative and specialized products so that more people can exercise and improve their quality of life ,” said Daniela Rodríguez, director of the new store.

The space will become the sixth largest at Atlantis and will be located on the third floor , with direct access to elevators and stairs.
Visitors will not only find a wide range of sports, but can also combine their visit with the shopping center's distinctive culinary, lifestyle, hobby, home, and entertainment offerings.
The choice of Atlantis was no coincidence. The resort has established itself as a landmark in Bogotá thanks to its strategic location in the Chapinero neighborhood.
Furthermore, it stands out for its connectivity to the public transportation system—including the Héroes TransMilenio station and multiple SITP routes—and its capacity to attract more than 120,000 people a day who live or work in the area.
For Decathlon, this environment guarantees proximity, accessibility, and a constant flow of visitors.
Alliance with the shopping center “ We are proud to have a brand like Decathlon in our mix, one that continues to invest in Colombia and aligns with our purpose of promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being for all our visitors ,” said Jaime Vidal, manager of Shopping Centers Operated by Multiplika.
In addition to this opening in Bogotá, the company is moving forward with a new retail format. According to Portafolio, Decathlon launched its first island in Colombia and the first in the Americas, located in the La Estación Shopping Center in Ibagué.
This space has a total area of 42 square meters and 20 meters of physical display case for product exhibition.
The island focuses on four in-person sports—running, mountain biking, swimming, and fitness—while the remaining disciplines can be purchased through digital channels.
With this model, the company strengthens its omnichannel approach, which combines physical presence with technological support to expand access to its products.
