Taylor Swift will release her new album on October 3 with 12 songs.

Two days after pop superstar Taylor Swift announced that she's releasing a new album, The Life of a Showgirl , her twelfth, this Thursday she set a release date for the album, inspired by her world tour The Eras Tour : it will be on October 3 and will have 12 songs. Another novelty of this promotion in sips is that in this work she will perform a song with singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter, precisely, the one that gives the album its name. Other song titles are: Elizabeth Taylor , Father Figure or Actually Romantic .
“This record has 12 songs. There’s no hidden 13th, no more on the way. This is the record I’ve wanted to make for a long time,” the singer said on the podcast New Heights , featuring her boyfriend, Travis Kelce , a US soccer player, and her brother-in-law Jason. Other song titles include: The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Ruin the Friendship, Actually Romantic, Wi$h Li$t, Wood Cancelled!, and Honey.
While on her Instagram account, she posted a photo of the album cover with the following message: "And, baby, that's show business. New album The Life of a Showgirl . Out October 3rd."
In fact, after Swift made this announcement, Spotify has installed billboards across the United States with a code for a playlist titled with that message: And, baby, that's show business for you .
“This album is about what was happening in my personal life during the tour, which was so exuberant, electric, and vibrant.” The recording took place specifically during the European leg of the tour.
Swift added that, unlike her previous album, The Tortured Poets Department , released just a year ago, this one will be filled with melodies that describe the "vivid and vivid" memories of this experience around the world. Another message for her Swifties.
The cover shows Swift in a bathtub wearing a sparkly outfit, representing how she ended each day after the three-hour Eras Tour shows, during which she looked back on her career, she explained.

The promotion is accompanied by a series of images by fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott that mark the beginning of a "new era" in their careers, with an aesthetic reminiscent of European cabaret from the 1920s and 1930s.
Swift is also the album's producer alongside Swedish composers Max Martin and Shellback, with whom she previously worked on the album Red and on songs like Shake It Off , Blank Space and Wildest Dream .
