At 9:00 a.m. on June 29, Tropical Depression Six-E evolved into Tropical Storm Flossie, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported. The phenomenon is located 390 km south of Acapulco, Guerrero , and 780 km southeast of Manzanillo, Colima, with sustained winds of 65 km/h, gusts of up to 85 km/h and moving west at a speed of 15 km/h.

The system's cloudy bands, along with the moisture it carries, will cause torrential rains (150 to 250 mm) in Oaxaca , as well as intense rains (75 to 150 mm) in Guerrero (coastal and northern areas) and Michoacán (northeast, east and south).

The tropical storm watch zone extends from Zihuatanejo , Guerrero , to Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, in coordination with the United States National Hurricane Center.

 Tropical Storm Barry approaches the Gulf of Mexico

In the Atlantic Ocean, Tropical Depression Two strengthened into Tropical Storm Barry, located 265 km southeast of Tampico, Tamaulipas , and 140 km east-southeast of Tuxpan , Veracruz . It has sustained winds of 65 km/h (40 mph), with gusts of up to 85 km/h (53 mph), and is moving northwest at 9 km/h (5 mph).

The forecast calls for extraordinary rainfall (more than 250 mm) in Puebla (north and east) and Veracruz (center and north); torrential rains (150 to 250 mm) in Tamaulipas (center and south); and intense rainfall (75 to 150 mm) in San Luis Potosí and Hidalgo (eastern areas).

The tropical storm warning zone extends from Boca de Catán, Tamaulipas, to Tecolutla, Veracruz.

Authorities warn that the rainfall associated with these phenomena could cause landslides, flooding of rivers and streams, and flooding in low-lying areas. Therefore, the public is urged to stay informed through SMN communications and follow Civil Protection recommendations.
