Three food establishments in Torreón have been closed due to unsanitary conditions.

The Inspection and Verification Directorate closed three more food establishments, this time a snack bar and a restaurant at the Miguel Luna Díaz market , due to irregularities such as harmful fauna, unsanitary conditions, poor food handling, widespread filth, and lack of required documentation.
The head of the agency, Pablo Fernández Llamas, reported that these anomalies were detected through an operation deployed at the market, located on Juárez Avenue in front of the city's bus station .
The businesses closed were Torres and Los Laguneros lunchrooms, as well as an unnamed diner, which was closed with the corresponding seals.
The official said that these actions were taken after detecting irregularities such as the presence of harmful fauna, unsanitary conditions, poor food handling, widespread filth and lack of mandatory documentation.
In this regard, the head of the department, Pablo Fernández Llamas, stated that the objective of these operations is to ensure that businesses operate in a safe and orderly manner.
"Our duty is to ensure that establishments operate under safe conditions and comply with established regulations. Citizens' health is not subject to negotiation," he stated.
He added that his department maintains constant surveillance, especially in markets, cafeterias, restaurants, and other food-related businesses, as poor conditions can pose a direct risk to consumers.
The Inspection and Verification Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to working in compliance with municipal regulations, following the line of action of the municipal administration of Mayor Román Alberto Cepeda González, and will continue conducting reviews to ensure safe and regulated spaces for all citizens.
