The OCU confirms it: this is the best packaged gazpacho you'll try this summer.

Summer in Spain isn't summer without recipes like country salad, Valencian paella, or cold soups , regardless of the type. But gazpacho is undoubtedly one of the main dishes on most tables in our country when the high temperatures call for something fresh and flavorful. Furthermore, the process of making a good traditional gazpacho isn't difficult.

Even so, sometimes we want to take the fast track and opt for the options offered by the many supermarkets in our borders, since some alternatives have a flavor similar to traditional gazpacho, as if we had made it ourselves in our kitchens. But where can we find the best one, according to the OCU (Spanish Consumer Organization)?

This is the best packaged gazpacho, according to the OCU

In the past, the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has compiled reports to identify the best gazpachos in supermarkets. For example, in 2023 , the traditional Chef Select gazpacho, sold at Lidl, emerged as the winner . The same happened with Raf de Santa Teresa , but in 2021. This year, 2025, was no different.

At the beginning of July, the OCU (Spanish Consumer Organization) published an article revealing the best packaged gazpacho available in supermarkets . Surprisingly, it's not a well-known brand. The winner was Realfooding gazpacho , which is sold at places like El Corte Inglés, Alcampo, and on the company's own website.

"It's the highest-rated gazpacho in the tasting and on the Health Scale, and in the overall rating it deserves an absolute outstanding : no less than 90 out of 100," reveals the OCU in its article. However, they point out that Real Fooding's gazpacho is slightly more expensive than others: it costs €3.49 per container .

Despite this, they recommend two other gazpachos of similar quality but at more affordable prices: the traditional Gazpacho from the Consum brand (1.60 euros/liter) and the traditional Gazpacho from Don Simón, which costs the same as the former. This way, you'll have no excuse to skip a good cold soup with your favorite flavor if you don't know how to make it or want something quick and fresh.
