The man who killed his neighbor and barricaded himself with the victim's wife has been arrested.

The Civil Guard has arrested the man who shot and killed his neighbor on Wednesday afternoon in a district of Huétor Santillán (Granada). He then barricaded himself in a house with the victim's wife, who has since been released.

The arrest took place around 4:30 a.m. in the Prado Negro district, where the incident occurred. The deceased's wife appears to be in good health, according to sources from the Armed Forces.

The detainee is a 61-year-old man with whom Civil Guard officers have been mediating for several hours. A specialized unit for this type of situation from the Benemérita (Benemérita), the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police, as well as Citizen Security and Traffic patrols, were working in the area.
