Forward Gabriele Procida, Italian reinforcement for Scariolo's Madrid

Real Madrid continues to revamp its basketball team. As part of this effort, the Whites announced this Friday the addition of a new player to Sergio Scariolo's squad: 23-year-old forward Gabriele Procida. The player arrives in the Spanish capital from ALBA Berlin and has signed with the current league champions for the next three seasons.

Italian Gabriele Procida came of age at Pallacanestro Cantù, the club where he made his professional debut. After playing for Fortitudo Bologna, he later joined ALBA Berlin, where he was named EuroLeague Young Player of the Year for the 2023-2024 season.

An Italian international, Procida, who was officially announced as a new Real Madrid player minutes after the club announced Rathan-Mayes' departure, joins Real Madrid until June 2028 after playing the last three seasons with the German club.
