Transfer poker for Woltemade - Advisor puts pressure on VfB

In the transfer poker for Bayern Munich's dream player Nick Woltemade, the national football player's agent is increasing the pressure on VfB Stuttgart.
"In March 2024 and most recently in mid-June, VfB made a clear commitment to a solution-oriented approach as soon as the next career step is possible," Danny Bachmann told the German Press Agency: "In the fast-paced world of football, such a step would now be possible for the German record champion and permanent Champions League participant. For an ambitious German international, this is an enormous opportunity."
Woltemade's transfer drama has been going on for weeksThe 23-year-old striker has been linked with FC Bayern for weeks and has already reached an agreement with the German champions. However, the Swabians have so far been unwilling to enter into negotiations with Bayern officials.
The two clubs will now meet in the Supercup on Saturday (August 16, 2025, starting at 8:30 p.m. on the sportschau.de live center ). VfB CEO Alexander Wehrle recently emphasized at an event hosted by the Stuttgarter Zeitung and Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspapers that clarity must be achieved by then.
Woltemade's advisor counters: "Questionable deadline""Everything should be resolved by kickoff at the latest," Wehrle said, addressing Bayern, who, according to Bachmann, have stepped up their efforts together with the players' representatives. "The solution demanded by Mr. Wehrle this week, within a questionable deadline, was delivered today with the total package from the interested party and the players' representatives totaling more than €60 million plus a resale fee," he said.
However, Stuttgart are said to disagree with the new offer, the agent continued. "The supervisory board's response regarding a demand of €75 million, which is outside the market, for a player who arrived on a free transfer but with a lower mid-range salary classification is not only completely unfounded – especially for a domestic transfer – but is in blatant contradiction to the aforementioned agreements," he said.
