Türkgücü Munich: The chaos continues in the Bayernliga

|Coach Slaven Skeledzic is out after just three games, complaining of "disorganization" and "misinformation." His successor will be player Ünal Tosun. And what are the remaining outstanding debts? "A lot."
They would prefer it if peace and quiet would simply return. Türkgücü Munich had been relegated from the Regionalliga and appeared to have assembled a decent Bayernliga squad, having hired an experienced coach in Slaven Skeledzic, a long-time assistant to Miroslav Klose. But a few days ago, the 53-year-old ranted on social media. The situation at Türkgücü was catastrophic: "Disorder, misinformation, a high degree of chaos, severe financial restrictions, and above all, a lack of cooperation. Professional work was nowhere near possible in this environment," he explained.
This also brought to mind many problems thought to be in the past: He hadn't been paid for his work yet. "July is still missing," explains Türkgücü's manager Uli Bergmann when asked, but that is still relatively normal in mid-August. He emphasizes that the club's management has given him restraint regarding the Skeledzic case, saying they don't want to blow it out of proportion, but he would like to clarify a few things: The accusations are "groundless," and the team's poor start to the season (three clear defeats, elimination from the Toto Cup) is the main reason for the "mutually agreed" separation. The delayed kickoff for the home game against Kirchanschöring was due to one of the touchlines being obscured due to heavy rain – Skeledzic was reportedly enraged by this embarrassment. The same was true when a player was suddenly listed as suspended in the database without anyone at the club knowing why. Now long-time player Ünal Tosun takes over as coach.
Meanwhile, the club hasn't made any progress in reducing its debt. "A lot," Bergmann says when asked how much is still outstanding. According to information obtained by the SZ, liabilities to the football association alone amount to a low five-figure sum – partly because another sum was recently added: Türkgücü fielded too many guest players in two test matches, resulting in a fine of €2,300.
