Tadej Pogacar's path to his fourth Tour victory is very unusual: the Slovenian is both as strong and as vulnerable as ever.

This outfit was, of course, only too understandable given the terrible weather. It was so cold up there in La Plagne, the riders had gotten so wet in the heavy rain on the course, their bodies so chilled after the day's exertions. So Tadej Pogacar showed up to the press conference after the final Alpine stage of the Tour de France bundled up. He was wearing a thick hat, and the jacket around his body seemed so thick it seemed as if he had stuffed it with every yellow jersey he had ever worn in his career (53 in total up to Sunday). And then he was visibly pleased that the Tour de France directors had limited the number of questions to three. He was off again in a hurry. He quickly got somewhere warm.
