Sweden vs. Germany live ticker: Only a win means first place

The women's national team is hoping for its third victory of the tournament against Sweden – to stay in the "flow," as attacker Klara Bühl puts it. The quarterfinals are already secured, but only a win would mean winning the group. Follow the match live.

Sweden: Falk - Lundkvist, Sembrant, Eriksson, Nilden - Angeldahl, Zigiotti, Rölfo, Asllani, Hurtig - Blomqvist

Germany: Berger - Wamser, Minge, Knaak, Linder - Senß, Nüsken - Brand, Dallmann, Bühl - Schüller

Winning their group at the European Championships would be valuable for the German women's soccer team, and not just psychologically. "Their self-confidence and self-esteem would remain at a very high level," said national coach Christian Wück before the group stage finale against Sweden today (9:00 p.m./ZDF and DAZN) in Zurich. The German national team won against Poland and Denmark.

Klara Bühl expects a "very physical and very intense game" at the Letzigrund Stadium. The Bayern striker emphasized: "We want to stay in our rhythm, stay in our flow, and make the group stage perfect."

For Wück, it's "incredibly important that we continue to develop in the tournament." The 52-year-old is determined to finish first in the table. He also made it clear that he won't rest Manchester City center-back Rebecca Knaak, who has already been booked: "Should she not play until the final? That doesn't matter to me." A second yellow card will result in a one-match suspension for the players.
