Bayern to show friendly match only with paid subscription – fans furious over streaming glitch

FC Bayern Munich will play its first friendly match against Olympique Lyon on Saturday. Fans have to pay to watch the match, but many are receiving error messages due to server overload.
The match against Lyon, in which new signing Luis Diaz could make his debut, will be broadcast exclusively on FC Bayern TV Plus – the club's own streaming service. A monthly subscription costs four euros. However, the stream is currently unavailable to many fans, and some can't even log in. This is due to an overloaded server.
Fans are venting their anger on social media. "Thanks @FCBayern. I pay €4 for FC Bayern TV Plus and get NOTHING! It's a real joke," wrote one user on the platform X. Other users called the stream a "disaster" or the incident "embarrassing." Some threatened to cancel their subscriptions.
The club responded about 30 minutes after the outage occurred, writing on X: "Due to technical problems, there are currently delays logging in to FC Bayern TV PLUS. We are working hard on a solution. We apologize for any inconvenience."
Under the tweet, numerous fans demanded their money back or called on Bayern to offer the stream for free next time.
