Zeven - During the night from Friday to Saturday, the fire departments from Zeven, Brauel, Brüttendorf, Badenstedt and Heeslingen were alerted to a fire in a single-family house.

FW-ROW: Single-family home on fire. The building, which had been vacant for years, was unoccupied, and therefore no lives were in danger. When the fire department arrived, the building was already fully ablaze. Several barriers were quickly set up so that the neighboring buildings could be protected and cooled - thus preventing it from spreading. With the help of a turntable ladder, the fire was quickly brought under control. However, the building had already suffered so much damage that demolition was considered. Because the gables were in danger of collapsing, demolition using an excavator was commissioned in consultation with the owner. Around 100 emergency personnel continued to ensure fire protection. The public works department closed off the B71 road during the operation, and the police subsequently began an investigation into the cause of the fire.
