It took a while for Donald Trump to realize that there's a difference between what Vladimir Putin says and what Vladimir Putin does. But even a belated realization is a realization, and after a good six months of his second term, the US president seems to have truly cemented the impression that his Russian counterpart can lie at least as shamelessly as he can. Hasn't he repeatedly claimed on the phone that he's also for peace – and then he still rains bombs down on Kyiv? Outrageous! Or as Trump put it on Thursday: "I think what they're doing is disgusting."
