The Oklahoma City Thunder are down 1-2 in the NBA playoff series after their away loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, led by German basketball pro Isaiah Hartenstein, are under pressure in the NBA playoffs. The best team in the regular season lost the first road game of the quarterfinal series to the Denver Nuggets 104-113 in overtime. After three games, Hartenstein's team is tied 1-2 in the best-of-seven series. They need four wins to advance.
In what was a largely even game, the stars on both sides missed chances to decide the game seconds before the end of regulation. Oklahoma's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with a rather mediocre 18 points, while Nikola Jokic scored 20 for Denver.
It wasn't until overtime that the hosts pulled away decisively: Oklahoma scored just two points in the first five minutes. For the Nuggets, four of their five starters scored 20 points or more. Center Hartenstein had ten points, ten rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block in roughly 30 minutes of play.
The Denver Nuggets have the chance to claim their third victory – again in front of their home crowd – on Sunday evening (9:30 p.m. CEST).
Mitchell brings Cleveland backMeanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have narrowed their series deficit against the Indiana Pacers to 1-2. Thanks to an outstanding performance from Donovan Mitchell, the Eastern Conference's best team won 126-104 on the road after two home losses in the opening game.
Mitchell made almost half of his 29 shots, contributing 43 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Star player Tyrese Haliburton, who clinched the game with a three-pointer just before the end of Game 2, had a weak night on the other side, scoring just four points.
