Civil service: infiltrated by democracy-haters?

|Several German states are planning laws to keep AfD party members out of government service. What does this mean for teachers, police officers, and judges? And what should we make of it?
Before anyone can become a civil servant in Germany , they must take an oath: "I swear to uphold the Basic Law and all laws applicable in the Federal Republic of Germany and to conscientiously fulfill my official duties, so help me God." In some federal states, the state constitution must also be mentioned; the words "so help me God" may be omitted.
