Summer is all well and good – as long as it's warm and sunny during the day and cooler at night. If we can't sleep because of the heat, it not only robs us of the night, but also our energy for the following day. We'll show you four tips for cooler and more peaceful nights in summer.
The German Weather Service recommends: "Keep your home cool, because restful sleep helps you cope better with the heat of the day." That's probably easier said than done – especially for those of us whose homes receive a lot of sun during the day or are located directly under the roof. High temperatures can "cause us to experience physical tension," says sleep researcher Hans Günter Weiß on Deutschlandfunk. "And tension is the enemy of sleep." So how can we counteract this?
