Obesity: GLP-1 RA therapy before elective surgery probably does not increase the risk
According to a systematic review and meta-analysis, GLP-1 receptor agonists lead to significant weight loss before elective surgery without increasing perioperative risk. However, the evidence for this is based almost exclusively on observational studies with high heterogeneity.
