Foreign equities: Top performers from Southern and Eastern Europe

Tech stocks lead the turnover rankings on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Interest in commodity stocks is growing, as is demand for shares from Greece, Romania, and Slovenia. These markets have performed strongly so far in 2025.

September 18, 2025. FRANKFURT (Frankfurt Stock Exchange). Trading in foreign equities on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange continues to be dominated by large technology stocks. Nvidia ( US67066G1040 ) was once again the top performer in terms of trading volume last month, but this time it failed to reach new record highs. Four other tech giants, Palantir ( US69608A1088 ), Microsoft ( US5949181045 ), Amazon ( US0231351067 ), and Apple ( US0378331005 ), are among the top 10. Their share prices have recently taken a breather. In contrast, Novo Nordisk ( DK0062498333 ) climbed to second place behind Nvidia. The Danish pharmaceutical manufacturer's share price recovered by 25 percent after hitting a multi-year low of around €39 at the beginning of August.
