Democracy: Anyone who wants to weaken the AfD must strengthen social policy
The party, which is in part right-wing extremist, is the greatest threat to democracy. Chancellor Friedrich Merz will only be able to push it back if he takes the concerns of the hard-working people in this country seriously.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz 's ( CDU ) priorities currently lie in foreign policy; given the almost unimaginable suffering in Gaza and the potentially decisive phase of the Ukraine war, which may have begun around the time of the Alaska summit, this is entirely understandable. The even greater challenges for Merz's chancellorship, however, lie in domestic policy.
