During targeted checks on Thursday and Friday, the State Traffic Department in Damüls, Fontanella and Faschina discovered numerous speeding violations.

A total of nine driver's licenses were confiscated on the spot. Police also provisionally impounded three motorcycles and one car.

Particularly notable were two German motorcyclists traveling in the Damüls area at 116 and 119 km/h, respectively, in a 50 km/h zone. In Faschina, a local man was clocked at 158 km/h on his motorcycle outside the built-up area – also in a 50 km/h zone. Another German car driver was traveling there at 124 km/h.
