The stock market debut of an online arms dealer backed by President Donald Trump Jr. has been a flop. GrabAGun's stock closed its first day of trading down nearly 24 percent. Trump Jr. was among GrabAGun's investors and managers who rang the bell to open trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), accompanied by shouts of "USA!"
According to the IPO prospectus, the Trump son holds approximately one percent of GrabAGun shares. Following the stock market crash, the stake is likely worth around four million dollars. The online retailer of weapons and ammunition entered the market through a merger with an already publicly traded blank-check company. Trump Jr. is active at the investment firm 1789 Capital and also joined GrabAGun's board of directors. He prefers to invest in companies that represent the political values of Donald Trump's MAGA ("Make America Great Again") movement.

US President Donald Trump has denied media reports that he intends to fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell imminently. While Powell is not doing a good job, Trump said on Wednesday during a visit to Washington with Bahrain's Crown Prince, Salman bin Hamad.
Previously, several US media outlets reported that Trump had signaled in conversations with several Republican lawmakers that he would soon replace Powell. According to the New York Times, Trump reportedly showed the lawmakers a draft of a letter of dismissal. Trump denied that such a letter existed. However, most lawmakers were in favor of dismissing Powell. However, Trump said on Wednesday that he was more conservative in his stance than the lawmakers.
Trump and Powell have been locked in a constant dispute for weeks because Powell, contrary to Trump's wishes, has not cut interest rates. Just last Friday, the president said he thought the Fed chairman was "terribly bad." However, he also ruled out firing him on Friday.
