A 79-year-old tourist from Belgium had to be resuscitated on Tuesday in Gmunden after being bitten by a dog. His dog was attacked by another tourist's pet while walking on the esplanade.
The two owners attempted to separate the two dogs, but the 79-year-old was bitten in the arm by the woman's dog. When emergency services arrived, he collapsed—presumably due to severe blood loss, according to police.
He was resuscitated by the emergency physician using a defibrillator. After stabilization, he was admitted to Gmunden Hospital.
