The stunning seaside town in Europe that has visitors 'feeling like they're on movie set'

This seaside town is an idyllic spot to visit in Europe that has been compared to a film set because of its picturesque scenery. The pretty town has been featured on a list by Probe the Globe of the best little-known seaside spots that are "pure bliss" for their visitors.
With many European hotspots becoming overcrowded, Brits are increasingly looking for quiet beaches to enjoy away from the hustle and bustle of busier spots. This underrated part of Croatia is known for its stunning scenery and incredible sea views along with its rich history. Probe the Globe says: "This picturesque town on the Istrian Peninsula is often compared to Venice for its colorful buildings and seaside charm.
It adds: "Rovinj’s cobbled streets, vibrant markets, and beautiful beaches make it one of Croatia’s most delightful coastal gems and the nearby islands and coves also offer excellent opportunities for swimming and boating."
One person who visited the Port of Rovinj wrote on Tripadvisor: "Looks like a location out of a James Bond movie!"
The visitor continued: "It felt like we were on the set of a movie. Rovinj is achingly pretty. From the cobbled streets and the cut-aways which allow you to see the sea in between to the bars and restaurants which line the harbour.
"Walk through the maze of streets up to the beautiful church at the top and soak in the sunshine. The pictures don't do it justice.
"We spent the day here and our only regret is we didn't see it in the evening when it would have been all lit up. Oh well theres always next time. We will go back…"
While you’re there, you can’t miss a visit to the Old Town which is home to an exciting array of history, art and food.
To get to Rovinj from the UK, you can fly from London to Pula, which is the closest airport. This flight takes just over two hours and then you can take a 35 minute car ride to Rovinj.
If you’d like to visit the beach when you’re there, Balota Beach is a popular spot right on the old town peninsula. This rocky beach is a favourite for sunbathers during the summer months.
You can also go to the Golden Cape or Valdaliso Beach which is just a short drive from the Old Town.
