Plane passenger starts row as child is given his $300 seat without asking

A plane passenger has been captured in a viral clip berating a couple while boarding a flight – after discovering they had 'given away' his $300 seat to their child.
The flyer, who later identified himself in a follow up TikTok video as Osaac Summer, had boarded an American Airlines flight on 6 July to discover his seat had been occupied by a child.
A 20-second clip recorded by a fellow passenger, who goes by @lalawright2, captured the moment the young flyer gave the parents, who could not be clearly identified, a dressing down after reclaiming his seat.
Flight attendants looked on in astonishment as Osaac pointed his finger at the family, as he ordered: 'Stay in your lane and in your seat.
'I don't care about your daughter, your child, and none of that! I paid for this one. I don't care about none of that.'
The passenger proceeded to take his seat whilst shaking his head, bringing the clip to a close.
In a follow-up video uploaded to his account @osaacsummer on 12 July, Osaac reiterated that he had 'no problem' giving away his seat or swapping with the family so that they could be seated together.
However, he felt he was forced to give up his preferred aisle seat, and at 6ft 2in, did not want to take any of the available window or middle seats.

Osaac claimed he was informed by a flight attendant that the parent was entitled to his seat as she had boarded before him - despite all seats having been assigned and paid for by each passenger.
He then claimed the flight attendant suggested he could attempt to 'take his seat back' from the parent - leading to the heated confrontation captured in the viral video.
In the comment section of the clip, which has since amassed over 2.4M likes, thousands of viewers rallied in defense of the passenger, with many calling out the behaviour of 'entitled parents' on flights.
One person wrote: 'Im sick of parents feeling entitled on planes. BOOK UR CHILD IN THE SEAT NEXT TO YOU.'
A second said, 'Oh hell no. He was more respectful than I would have been,' while a third added, 'Its the audacity of them taking it without asking...'
Another viewer commented: 'Imagine how many people suffer from social anxiety, and can’t stand up for themselves the way he did and keep getting taken advantage of by entitled parents with no sense of decency whatsoever.'
Meanwhile, one passenger recalled: 'Recently had someone rearrange my entire row to accommodate him and his girlfriend in the row in front of me. I let them plan it out then refused to move.'
It comes as a flight attendant has taken to social media to warn passengers not to let another holidaymaker switch seats with them.

Leanna Coy (@leannacoy), a cabin crew member based in the US, posted a TikTok video titled 'Why you shouldn't switch seats on the plane'.
The flight attendant explains that she was recently asked to switch seats with a passenger on a United Airlines flight.
Leanna says that the woman asked her to swap her aisle seat for another aisle seat in a different row.
She reveals: 'Normally, I am absolutely 100 per cent against changing seats. Your lack of planning should not constitute me having to move.'
