Brendan Cummins is still going strong for his club Ballybacon-Grange in the Tipperary IHC.

In last weekend's Round 4 clash against Shannon Rovers, the nine-time Poc Fada champion scored not just one, but two points directly from puckouts. Despite his heroics, Ballybacon-Grange came up short on a 1-14 to 3-13 scoreline.

Cummins won two All-Ireland SHC medals, five Munster SHC medals and two Allianz Leagues in a 20-year career between the posts for Tipp. The former dual star retired from inter-county duty in 2013 with a record 73 championship appearances to his name and has since gone on to make a name for himself in management, guiding the Premier County to All-Ireland U20HC success earlier this year.
