Kilcullen hits 2-14 as Easkey ease to Sligo SHC six-in-a-row

Andrew Kilcullen scored a whopping 2-14 as Easkey completed a six in-a-row of Sligo SHC titles with a 2-25 to 1-15 victory over Naomh Eoin at the Sligo Centre of Excellence.

The champions cut loose in the second half after Naomh Eoin had offered stout resistance in the opening 30 minutes. Matt Davey’s goal gave the Sligo town outfit an early lead before the sides were level four times with Kilcullen contributing 0-9 for Easkey and Robert O’Kelly-Lynch firing 0-8 in a half that finished level at 0-12 to 1-9.

An O’Kelly-Lynch free edged Naomh Eoin back in front after the restart, but they lost their way in the final 20 minutes when Kilcullen twice rattled the net to maintain Easkey’s dominance.
