Kerry GAA Legend Scores A Hat-Trick On Debut For Newly Founded Soccer Club

Down through the years, there have been countless examples of well-known GAA players also trying their hand at soccer. While most of those come earlier in a player's career, one former Kerry star has tried his hand at the sport well after his inter-county career came to an end.
Aidan O'Mahony had a long and successful career with Kerry, winning five All-Irelands, ten Munster titles, and two All-Stars during his 13 years at senior level.
While he would retire from inter-county duties in 2017, he did continue on playing with club Rathmore until recent years. Now 45-years old, he remains a fitness fanatic.
He has also opted to try his hand at another sport.

Kerry GAA Legend Scores A Hat-Trick On Debut For Soccer ClubRecently formed soccer club Kerry Blues FC would play their first competitive fixture over the weekend, taking on Strand Road 'B' in Division 4 of the Kerry District League on Sunday.
The team was only founded earlier this year. One unique element of the team is that is comprised entirely of members of An Garda Síochána currently based in Kerry.
With Aidan O'Mahony being a member of the force in Tralee, he would line out in their opening fixture. According to the Kerryman, the former GAA star would net a hat-trick en route to a 4-0 victory.
While his performance would catch the eye, the club would also suggest that O'Mahony could do with becoming a bit more familiar with the rules of the sport.

History! Kerry Blues first ever league game ended in a 4-0 victory against Strand Road B in Mounthawk Park yesterday. Keep it up lads. Aidan O Mahony (x3) Dylan Seymour (x1).
If we have any followers who could teach Aidan O'Mahony the offside rule it would be greatly appreciated.
For a lad who seemingly didn't know the rule, the Kerry legend certainly did not fare too badly.
We will be keen to see if he can maintain this level of form over the rest of the season.
