Four Man Utd players to be axed to make room for £62m Wolves star Matheus Cunha

Marcus Rashford is one of FOUR players Manchester United hope to sell to make way for Matheus Cunha. The Wolves star has been identified as a priority signing for Ruben Amorim’s men as they attempt to fix their goalscoring woes.
The Red Devils are attempting to agree personal terms with the Brazilian forward, having held talks with the player's agent. Should that happen, they will then hold talks with Wolves and negotiate on how to pay the £62m release clause written into his contract with the Midlands club
United need to clear some space in their squad in order to sign Cunha, with some potential sales already identified. A host of stars currently out on loan are the first to be jettisoned.
England duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are in the middle of loan spells with Aston Villa and Chelsea respectively. Villa have a £40m option to buy the former, while Chelsea’s obligation to permanently purchase Sancho has already been activated - albeit the Blues could still back out by paying a £5m penalty fee. United chiefs are hoping to sell the pair, recouping a combined £65million.
Antony is currently impressing with Real Betis and it is hoped that the Spanish side pursue a permanent move - although United will have to take a big hit on the former Ajax winger. Defender Tyrell Malacia is with PSV Eindhoven and looks to have little future at Old Trafford also.

Cuha, 25, has shone for Wolves this season, scoring 14 league goals on their way to Premier League safety. And it is clear that United boss Ruben Amorim is a big fan. Speaking after his side’s defeat to Wolves at the weekend, the Portuguese head coach said: “(Vitor Pereira) has real quality players — Cunha and all these guys, they have real quality. They are fresh. I just gave the example because I remembered about Matheus — he’s scoring a lot of goals. Just that.”
Cunha has four years left on the new contract he signed in the Black Country only in February. Despite that, his future remains up in the air, while he recently became involved in an online spat with a Wolves fan channel.

Cunha shared a post reading: “Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours. So stay cool,” which was swiftly deleted. A fan account then shared the post, something that Cunha took exception to.
He replied: “Do you know what you want? For people to not like me here, unfortunately I’m going to the field to solve the problem of your favourite club. I’m not here looking for alternatives to be someone important. Fans root for their own, they don’t create misfortunes all the time.”
After being told his accusations were false, Cunha then doubled down. “I’m sorry but that’s exactly what you want. The first one to report fake news, not what was really in the news, I make a video and pretend it’s irrelevant,” he wrote.
“What you don’t understand is that you are an opinion maker, if you don’t like me, that’s fine friend. And in the end, every negative interpretation you have is the first one to try to reproduce. Let’s do the following. In common we only have the Wolves that I love so much.”
