Cristiano Ronaldo issues defiant message after Bruno Fernandes targeted in World Cup row

Cristiano Ronaldo has defiantly shared that Portugal are 'always together' after Bruno Fernandes and several of his team-mates were targeted with abuse after their 1-1 draw with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Al-Nassr forward shared the message alongside a photo of several team-mates during a World Cup training session before they face Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

Fernandes does not feature in the image, but the likes of Joao Neves, who has also been abused on social media, does.
