Cork GAA has ratified the appointments of Ben O'Connor and John Cleary as senior hurling and football manager respectively.

O'Connor has been appointed for a three-year term in succession to Pat Ryan, who stepped down last month. The three-time All-Ireland SHC winner's management team includes his former county team-mate Ronan Curran, Midleton's Terence McCarthy and fellow Newtownshandrum clubman William Biggane.

All three were involved when O'Connor guided Cork to All-Ireland U20HC glory two years ago. Ballinhassig's Niall O'Halloran has been named coach.

Cleary has been handed a new two-year term as senior football manager, Former Galway midfielder and manager Kevin Walsh remains as coach, as do Barry Corkery, Mícheál Ó Cróinín and Jim O'Donoghue as selectors with St Finbarr's Kevin Murray replacing James Loughrey. Former Olympic bronze medalist Rob Heffernan also continues as performance coach.

Another Newtownshandrum man, Donal Mulcahy, takes the minor hurling reins, with Noel Furlong continuing as U20 hurling boss.

Former senior manager Keith Ricken enters his second year as minor football supremo, while Ray Keane from Éire Óg takes over the U20 footballers and will be assisted by 2010 All-Ireland winner Paul Kerrigan, Kevin O'Sullivan and Enda Kiernan.
