2026 Munster Hurling Championship To Kick Off With An Absolute Cracker In Thurles
The 2025 All-Ireland hurling championship is only just in the books but attention already turns to the 2026 Munster hurling championship, particularly the fixture list.
On Wednesday, the fixture plan for the 2026 Munster round robin was confirmed by the Munster Council.
The Munster hurling round robin is the most intense provincial competition in intercounty GAA and the 2026 iteration already looks thrilling.
There are no shortage of storylines.
Tipp will enter as reigning All-Ireland champions, Cork will be nursing a winter's worth from the defeat in the All-Ireland final, Clare and Limerick will be targeting big improvements on 2025 and Waterford will be desperate to extend their summer beyond the round robin.

Limerick will have a bye in round one, but face into two hugely challenging games to start their campaign - away to Cork and then away to Clare.
The final round features two amazing games - Limerick v Tipp and Cork v Clare. It's the same fixture slate that began the 2025 Munster round robin; both of those matches finished in thrilling draws.
