'I thought it was a terrible decision'

Louth manager Ger Brennan has blasted the decision to play his side's Leinster SFC semi-final against Kildare in Tullamore.
Brennan claimed the two teams were 'squeezed like sardines into the dressing rooms that we got' after two Westmeath intermediate clubs - Milltown and Rosemount - were given bigger changing rooms for the preceding Leinster League Division 2 final at Glenisk O'Connor Park. The former Dublin centre back was also critical of the distance Louth had to travel, saying his preference would have been for the semi-final to be played in Croke Park.
"I thought the decision to bring Louth and Kildare to Tullamore was a terrible decision," Brennan said in an interview with RTÉ.
"There was an intermediate Leinster club final played beforehand which meant that two of the bigger dressing rooms at the ground were already being used.
"I spoke to Brian (Flanagan, Kildare manager) beforehand, Brian is a good lad, and all of us were squeezed like sardines into the dressing rooms that we got.
"I thought it was terrible to bring us there in the first place.
"And whoever granted access to an intermediate club final to be played beforehand, it was a terrible decision."
