Virgin Media will give you a free Sonos this weekend - how to claim
If you enjoy sitting down to the latest TV shows and blockbusters but find yourself leaning forward in your seat, straining to hear what’s going on, you might be in need of a soundbar. These audio gadgets plug into TVs to instantly upgrade the sound - and your overall enjoyment of movie night.
Right now, you can claim a Sonos Ray soundbar worth £199.99 from Virgin Media when you sign up to one of its TV and broadband packages. Granted, you maybe shouldn’t sign up to one of these 24-month contracts just to get the gadget, but if you have been thinking of switching your provider, then this deal could kill two birds with one stone, landing you a better TV and internet set up and the soundbar to boot.
This deal is set to end at 11:59pm UK time on Wednesday August 27, 2025.
The Sonos Ray is a plug-in standalone soundbar with a compact design that shouldn’t dwarf your TV stand. It has two tweeters and two powerful woofers to completely transform how your TV viewing sounds, with much-improved treble, middle and bass. You won’t know why you put up with your TV’s built-in speakers.
The deal applies to four of Virgin’s TV and broadband bundles. If you don’t want to claim the soundbar, you can alternatively opt for £125 in bill credit, which for some of the bundles is the equivalent of several months paid for free.
The cheapest bundle that nets you the Sonos Ray or bill credit is the Bigger Combo bundle + Movies, which costs £44.99 per month. This gets you 362Mbps Virgin broadband, Virgin TV with more than 200 channels with Sky channels, plus the premium Sky Cinema HD add on.
As with all the bundles, the cost is subject to an annual price rise each April, so check you can afford the payments when you sign up.
If you’re more of a sports fan, the £54.99 per month Bigger Combo bundle + Sports package could be for you. It gets you faster 516Mbps broadband, Virgin TV with Sky channels plus Sky Sports channels: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports PL, Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports NFL, Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Mix.
The £64.99 Biggest Combo bundle offers 516Mbps broadband with TV and both Sky Cinema and Sky Sports, combining the first two bundles’ perks.
Your last option to grab the Sonos Ray is the £79.99 Mega Volt bundle. That’s quite expensive, but gives you blazing fast 1130Mbps fibre broadband, more than 230 TV channels including Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, plus the addition of Netflix standard with ads.
On top of that, the Mega Volt throws in an unlimited O2 SIM card with unlimited minutes, texts and data in the UK, plus roaming to 75 destinations.
