The formula for the perfect HOLIDAY - including 25°C heat, 2.2 hours of exercise, and zero emails

For some, the perfect holiday involves lying around a pool with a cocktail.
For others, it's a hiking trip with no phone signal and sleeping under the stars.
Now, experts have come up with a formula for the ideal getaway – which might help those looking to make last–minute bookings before summer draws to a close.
Researchers from easyJet asked 2,000 people what their ideal holiday was.
From this, wellbeing expert Dr Andy Cope has come up with the 'ingredients' for a relaxing getaway.
The recipe for holiday happiness involves 6.1 hours of sleep followed by 4.8 hours of sunshine, he claims.
It even includes 2.2 hours of physical activity – although this could be classed as going for a swim in the hotel pool.
For those struggling to switch off, he recommends 3.9 hours are spent away from screens per day.
According to Dr Cope, the formula for a happy holiday involves the perfect combination of sunshine, sleep, physical activity, time spent with family (p) and screen time
The expert said the most important thing on holiday is to be present and relaxed, without worrying about how much time you're spending with friends or family (stock image)
Rather than 'ticking off sights', travellers should aim for 25°C heat, a light breeze and zero emails, he added.
The most important thing is to be present and relaxed rather than stressing over how much time is spent with family or friends, according to the formula.
Dr Cope recommends 70 per cent of a holiday should be spent with family, while the other 30 per cent should be spent focusing on yourself.
Travellers should also drink three litres of water per day while abroad, he said, as well as enjoying a daily sweet treat.
'Holidays give us all a chance to rest, rejuvenate and come back fully charged,' he said.
'Human brains are great at pre–living and re–living, which means we can start enjoying the holiday the moment it's booked and retain our happiness glow long after we get back.'
This could explain why some people feel like they enter 'holiday mode' as soon as they have their first sip of an airport pint.
For others, it's feeling the wall of heat when you step off the plane or the initial dunk into a hotel pool.

However, the findings revealed it takes a full two days on average for people to switch off from work.
The research also revealed the top holiday activity that make Brits happy is going to the beach, closely followed by swimming at the pool.
Others that ranked highly include visiting a cultural monument, trying the local cuisine, relaxing on a sun lounger and reading a book.
Travellers also said they enjoy watching a sunrise, exploring the local shops, capturing moments on camera and hiking.
Stuart Wright, Customer Director at easyJet Holidays said: 'We believe the secret to a truly happy holiday lies in simplicity, inspiration, and ease.
'When you travel, you want to focus on what really matters –discovering new places, spending quality time with loved ones, and enjoying a well–deserved break from everyday life.'
According to wellbeing expert Dr Andy Cope, the formula for the perfect holiday involves a combination of factors.
Holiday happiness can be achieved by adding 4.8 hours of sunshine to 6.1 hours of sleep and 2.2 hours of exercise per day, he said.
This is then multiplied by 'p', which is the amount of time spent with family.
Finally, it is crucial to spend less than 4 hours on your phone in order to completely switch off, he added.
