The controversy erupted when users discovered they could search Google using the query “site:chatgpt.com/share” to find thousands of strangers’ conversations with the AI assistant. What emerged painted an intimate portrait of how people interact with artificial intelligence — from mundane requests for bathroom renovation advice to deeply personal health questions and professionally sensitive resume rewrites.
