From Startup to Large Company: Glovo Supports Young Climate-Caring Companies

The PFR School of Pioneers, organized in collaboration with Strategic Partner Allegro, is the first step before acceleration for aspiring entrepreneurs and technology visionaries. Participants participate in a series of workshops, benefit from mentoring, and collaborate in teams to develop their ideas until they create the first version of a product, or MVP. This year, the focus is on Climate Tech – technologies supporting climate action and sustainable development. Participants will work on solutions that can truly support environmental protection and the energy transition.

"Glovo's story shows that with a good idea and determination, you can go from a small European startup to a global company. We want participants of the PFR School of Pioneers to draw on such experiences and have the opportunity to see that their own projects can also grow to an international scale," emphasizes Eliza Kruczkowska, Director of the Innovation Development Department at PFR .

Glovo also supports the new PFR and PFR Ventures program – VC Connect, including the Seed to Scale track. The initiative is dedicated to teams with ideas for technological solutions in the areas of foodtech, agritech, and cleantech, including sustainable agriculture, food transformation, and green technologies. Polish startups at the Barcelona Startup Campus

As part of its collaboration with the PFR School of Pioneers, Glovo has invited two participants from previous editions – Mirella Kłosińska, founder of the startup Wayde, an artificial intelligence-based platform for brands seeking influencer collaborations, and Łukasz Kopiński from RibesTech, who creates technological solutions supporting, among other things, more sustainable agriculture – to participate in the Glovo Startup Campus, which will take place from October 6-10 in Barcelona. They will be able to participate in workshops, meetings with experts and other entrepreneurs, and a practical challenge inspired by Glovo's business model and focused on climate tech solutions, including finding ways to reduce the carbon footprint of packaging in the delivery sector.

Moreover, selected participants of this year's edition of the PFR School of Pioneers will benefit from mentoring support from experts from Glovo, and the best projects will be additionally rewarded with an invitation to participate in subsequent editions of the Glovo Startup Campus program, opening the way to further development and cooperation with the global leader in the delivery market.

Globally, Glovo has been supporting initiatives aimed at early-stage startups for many years, including through its Startup Campus program (formerly Tech Catalyst). In Poland, the platform plans to intensify its activities in this area, including as a partner of Polish Development Fund initiatives.
