Cryptocurrency exchange will enable non-US customers to trade Tesla, Apple, Nvidia and Microsoft shares

American cryptocurrency trading exchange Kraken , whose registered legal name is Payward Inc., has announced plans to allow non-US customers to trade shares of popular companies.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, this will take place in the form of tokens recorded in a digital ledger. Trading will involve shares of companies such as Apple, Microsoft, HP, Nvidia, Tesla and hundreds of others that will gradually be included in the new system.

Tokenized shares will operate on similar principles to trading in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Trading will take place 24 hours a day, unlike classic stock exchange quotations.

Kraken said the launch of tokenized shares will begin in the coming weeks. American customers will not have access to the trading platform.

A new service involving the digitization of shares of the most attractive companies for investors will enable trading in tokens on its own cryptocurrency exchange.

Tokens will represent specific assets, in this case shares of listed companies recorded digitally based on decentralized blockchain technology.
