Argos dishes out cheap Galaxy Watch upgrades but we've found a deal that's way better

If your Galaxy Watch wearable feels like it's a little past its best, now could be a very good time to go online shopping. Argos has just confirmed a deal that's offering the ultimate Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) at one of the lowest prices we've seen in a while. Head to the Argos store and this premium device can be snapped up for just £449 - that's a whopping £150 off its original cost at launch.

This is a decent cost cut, but it's not the best out there. Samsung actually knocked a further £50 off over the weekend, with things dropping to just £399. Sadly, due to huge demand, the firm has now completely sold out of the devices, but don't panic if you want to grab this bargain. John Lewis has followed with a "price match" guarantee which means you can head to the retailer's site and order the Galaxy Watch Ultra for £399.
It's worth noting that some styles have sold out and others are low in stock so you might want to act fast.
So, what do you get for your money?
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is Samsung's most premium wearable, featuring a Titanium design that's built to survive life on wrists and harsh environments.
There's also longer battery life, up to 100 hours before needing a refill, and exclusive upgrades, including an in-built alarm and a Quick Button for accessing favourite features faster.
Like all smartwatches, it can monitor your heart, check blood pressure, reveal how much sleep you've had and how stressed you are.
Full exercise tracking is also a feature of this device, with it able to trace runs, walks, swims, cycle rides and more.
This price cut is clearly hugely tempting, but the deal does come with a warning. Samsung looks almost certain to hold one of its Unpacked events later this month, where it will show off its new foldables.
Along with phones, it's highly likely that new Galaxy Watches will be unveiled as well.
If true, the current Watch Ultra might look a little outdated. Maybe that's why Samsung is running such a big discount, as it can clear old stock ready for the latest release.
Once we know all the details about Unpacked 2026, we will update this article.
