When Is Sinners Streaming?
preview for Sinners - Official Trailer (Warner Bros.)

Never bite off more than you can chew, but Ryan Coogler's latest feature film, Sinners, is more than a mouthful. But we're certainly not complaining. A sweltering piece of gothic action-horror where vampires rise in Jim Crow era Mississippi, Sinners is without a doubt the movie that's teeing up our summer at the cineplex.

But where can Sinners seekers get their unholy fix for a good time? The good news is that it's real easy to watch Sinners, and it just might land on a streaming service sooner than you think.

With franchise features like Creed and Marvel's Black Panther now in his rearview mirror, Ryan Coogler is back to telling his own original stories. Enter Sinners, which Coogler wrote, directed, and produced. The movie stars frequent Coogler collaborator Michael B. Jordan in the lead role of twin brothers Smoke and Stack, both World War I veterans and reformed Prohibition gangsters who return to their Mississippi hometown to run an honest juke joint. But the brothers' American dreams becomes a nightmare when the bloodsucking undead come knocking on their doorstep.

Supported by a stellar cast that includes Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O'Connell, Wunmi Moskau, Delory Lindo, Saul Williams, and Li Jun Li, Sinners etches its teeth into the midnight vampire movie canon, joining the likes of From Dusk 'Till Dawn, Fright Night, The Lost Boys, and the Blade and Underworld series.

Halloween is many months away, but if Sinners has you jonesing for a scream, here's how to see Coogler and Jordan's latest collaboration.

When is Sinners Streaming?

Sinners is hitting theaters in wide release on April 18, distributed by Warner Bros. With support by a major studio, you can roll up to just about any movie theater to enjoy Sinners. For showtimes, check in with your local theater.

As for the film's streaming plans? As Warner Bros. production, Sinners is pretty much destined to find its forever home on Max in the very near future. The exact time is unknown, however.

In 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Warner Bros. infamously made their biggest movies available to stream on the then-named HBO Max on the same day they debuted in theaters. In 2022, the studio implemented a 45-day buffer from theatrical release to streaming on Max; that 45-day policy was quietly retired later in the year.

More recently, there has been a window of approximately 80-plus days between a Warner Bros. theatrical release and streaming on Max. In 2024, big-ticket movies like Dune: Part Two, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire all had periods of just over 80 days until they were available on Max. If Sinners follows that same pattern, you just might finally watch it from the comfort of your home starting in July. So fire up the barbecue—it's about to get hot.
