The White Lotus fans think they've found their next binge-worthy TV show

As fans mourn the conclusion of The White Lotus' third season, many are looking for their next binge-worthy watch. Thankfully the show's fanbase are all recommending a hidden gem thriller that even features some of the White Lotus cast.

Nine Perfect Strangers is set in a ground-breaking Californian wellness retreat led by the enigmatic and compelling Masha Dmitrichenko (played by Nicole Kidman). The secluded sanctuary offers a transformative experience to a select group of nine individuals who must brave Masha's increasingly unconventional healing tactics.

The official summary reveals: "Nine Perfect Strangers follows nine very different people who arrive at Tranquillum House, a mysterious wellness retreat that promises 'total transformation'.

"Once there, the guests fall under the spell of the enigmatic Masha, who will stop at nothing to heal them. As the days unfold, however, Masha's unorthodox methods threaten to push this combustible group over the edge."

The series is adapted from Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name, with the author also penning Big Little Lies and Apples Never Fall, all of which have had TV adaptations, reports Leicestershire Live.

On the White Lotus subreddit, fans are eagerly putting forward Nine Perfect Strangers to fellow viewers in search of their new sun-soaked thriller fix.

"I am watching Nine Perfect Strangers right now and it's fairly similar," claimed one fan, while another advised: "Nine Perfect Strangers. I also like the remake of Fantasy Island, it's a bit 'lighter' than White Lotus but it's an interesting resort show with a supernatural spin."

For those keen to dive into the series, the timing is impeccable as the second instalment of Nine Perfect Strangers is set to premiere in May this year, promising a breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps. The upcoming season will diverge from Liane Moriarty's original novel. Deadline reports that the second season will see "nine stressed city dwellers [trying] to get on a path to a better way of living with a 10-day stay at a boutique wellness resort run by Masha, a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies.

The stellar cast of the first series boasted talents like Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Manny Jacinto, Bobby Cannavale and Melissa McCarthy. The second season will welcome Murray Bartlett, already known to White Lotus aficionados for his Emmy-winning role as the beleaguered hotel manager Armond in the show's first season.

Nine Perfect Strangers' second season will premiere on Hulu in the US on May 21. Meanwhile UK viewers can catch it on Amazon Prime Video from May 22.
