Tate McRae went boldly sheer in a custom Ludovic de Saint Sernin outfit at the MTV VMAs 2025, making a show-stopping entrance on the red carpet. Photos and videos from the evening showed her arriving at the event, looking glamorously daring in her all-white, see-through gown. McRae’s ensemble from the luxury fashion designer consisted of spotlight-worthy details, including a bra-style bodice and the rest being completely transparent, exposing what was underneath.
In addition, the musician’s attire turned heads with its plunging neckline and striking cutouts on either side. Meanwhile, the flowy skirt extended well beyond, creating a dramatic train and covering as much as it could. McRae had further paired the stunner piece with her open-toe strappy heels that went hand in hand with the gown’s standout features. Lastly, she wore her hair down, keeping it as basic as ever, and accessorized with statement earrings and other rings.
McRae’s sheer gown wasn’t the only thing that caught everyone’s attention as she later delivered an equally remarkable performance at the 2025 VMAs. The award-winning singer made another attention-grabbing appearance, this time on the stage, and rocked the entire UBS Arena with her high-energy dance moves and some of her hits. An Instagram video showed her wearing a tube top and micro mini shorts, also all white, for the show. McRae later changed into another fitted gown for the night.
