Summer Shoes, the Oura Ring 5, and All the New Launches Esquire’s Editors Loved This Week

Métier’s new green suede is stunning. But if I buy this weekender on my credit card, I will have to also get a new car because I can’t toss a bag this beautiful into the back of my 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage. Two financially unstable purchases at once, a win-win in my book.—Luke Guillory, commerce editor
From its no-tools dresser to perfect bed frame, we can’t get enough of Thuma’s famously easy-to-put-together furniture. The brand is known for its minimalistic designs and beige color palettes, but there’s finally some good news for all the maximalists out there. This week, it launched a collab with Buchanan Studio with fun stripes and beautiful velvet designs on its classic pieces. Hurry before it sells out.—Krista Jones, senior director, commerce and partnerships

I can only hope the collections celebrating Pride month are as cool as this one from Willie Norris and Away. The third collaboration between the artist and ubiquitous luggage brand features graphic, tongue-in-cheek carry-ons and travel-ready bags that are conceptual and playful. These will make a bold statement amongst the airport drab, after all, you should take pride in being the coolest person in the airport.—Alfonso Fernández Navas, senior editor, market and style

D.S. & Durga struck gold with its Rose Atlantic Eau de Parfum, a fragrance inspired by summertime in New England. This week, the brand went bicoastal with its limited-edition Rose Pacific EDP. Arguably the most elevated form of gift shop merch, this capsule collection between St. Regis Hotels and Drake’s is covetable keepsakes. Ranging from silks and ties, which Drake’s is well-loved for, to a vintage-inspired baseball cap, this capsule has commemorative essentials whether traveling for business or pleasure. Just in time for Father’s Day, the collection alludes to the relaxed elegance that comes when staying at a luxury hotel.—A.F.N.

First, Oura made a device I want to use every day (and night) for its features. Then, it made it look more like a ring, one revision at a time. This new “40 percent thinner” version might not be its final form, but I can’t see it getting that much better from here.—Bryn Gelbart, associate commerce editor
Pinch me. I feel as if I’ve dreamt up a capsule collection between Marine Serre and Under Armour; it’s almost too good to be true. Under Armour’s innovation in baselayers with Marine Serre’s iconic “Second Skin” motif make performance and fashion accessible across sport and street. I will be stocking up to be the best dressed pre-, mid-, and post-workout.—A.F.N.

Mansur Gavriel has some of the best leather bags out there, and this summer the brand has once again collaborated with Pascucci, a 200-year-old shop in Gambettola, Italy, making some beautiful canvas pieces. I don’t need to be spending this much money on a summer bag, but there’s something about the way these patterns play with the leather straps that has made me reach for my wallet.—K.J.
