Revolve Fest: Dixie D’Amelio Details Reunion With Ex Griffin Johnson

Dixie D’Amelio has no bad blood with ex Griffin Johnson.
Nearly five years after the 23-year-old’s public breakup with the former Sway LA member, she detailed their reunion—which occurred during a 72-hour revival of the content house in February—as well as where their relationship stands today.
“It was a really good time,” Dixie told The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes at Revolve Festival, held during Coachella weekend. “I feel like it was really healing for everyone involved, and we’re all friends.”
In fact, the D’Amelio Show star—whose sister is fellow TikToker Charli D’Amelio—revealed that the two were spending the weekend together alongside some other friends. After all, revisiting old wounds can be a cathartic experience.
“I feel like nostalgia sometimes is good when you’re ready for it” Dixie continued, adding that she has left the cheating scandal surrounding their breakup in the past. “It seems like forever ago. We’re adults, it is what it is.”
And while Dixie emphasized, “We’re all happy,” that wasn’t always the case.
Indeed, at the time of their split, Dixie accused her ex of being unfaithful during their relationship. And Griffin’s song “Convenient,” which seemed to be a diss track, further thrust the accusation into the public eye.
"I'm not here to say I'm sorry / I'm not even gonna ask / You're the one that didn't want me / But I ain't tryna win you back," he sang in the 2020 song. "She said I cheated / That's just f--ked up / But you believed it / Ain't that convenient?"
But just a couple of weeks before his apparent diss track was released, Griffin was apologizing to Dixie on social media for doing things he wasn’t necessarily proud of.
"Our relationship was put out into the public out of our control and I have been taking heat ever since," Griffin wrote on X (formerly Twitter) at the time. "It was far from perfect on both sides as everyone has seen in the past week."
"I am sorry to everyone that followed me before and I disappointed as I'm not always proud of my decisions,” he continued. “Most importantly I want to publicly apologize to Dixie for the hurt that I have caused. I am human, I am not proud of some of my choices, but I will keep it real with everyone that follows me."
