Proof Jessica Simpson's Daughter Birdie, 6, Is Her Spitting Image
Jessica Simpson's daughter Birdie Mae couldn't resist this opportunity.
The "Irresistible" singer shared that when her 6-year-old's school hosted Spirit Week, Birdie jumped at the chance to channel mom for "dress as your favorite artist" day.
Sharing a picture of the grade schooler, Jessica—who shares Birdie plus kids Maxwell Drew, 13, and Ace Knute, 12, with ex Eric Johnson—wrote on Instagram Oct. 9, "Bird wanted to dress up as meeeeee."
Indeed, Birdie's outfit was littered with Easter eggs referencing her mom's decades-long career. In addition to rocking a black tee with the cover art to Jessica's 1999 album Sweet Kisses, Birdie wore denim shorts as a nod to her Dukes of Hazzard character, as well as silver cowboy boots made for walkin'.
She completed the look with a plethora of costume jewelry, including bejeweled cocktail rings and a statement necklace with green gems. To really tap into her mom's spirit, Birdie posed next to a microphone.
Needless to say, fans had to do a double take.
"Birdie is your mini me," one wrote, while another commenter quipped, "She’s the cutest little Jessica!"
"She looks so much like you!!" a third fan raved. "Bird chose a great artist to dress up as."
And Jessica's youngest has inherited her fun-loving spirit as well. As the 45-year-old wrote in a March Instagram post, "I cannot get enough of her talkative, dramatic and wildly hilarious storytellin’, moment sharin’, day makin’, contagious laughin’, quick witted comedy!"
"Birdie is a one of a kind personality that can make the sun always shine and the moon beam on your every dream," Jessica continued. "She sings, she screams, she belly dances Bollywood, she knits, she flips and flops her way through gymnastics, she treasures tiny things, and appreciates all kinds of art. Birdie plays tennis and make believe, she’s a trampoline queen, a monkey bar champion, and always on time!"
Describing her daughter as an "emotional feeler," the fashion designer gushed, "Bird demands your undivided attention, she organizes, she’s never not clean, and love, love, LOVES to get dressed up! Bird shares her heart with everyone and by golly her family is her all and everything."
Jessica added, "Birdie Mae is my soul child beltin’ SONGBIRD and is always on the BRIGHTEST SIDE OF LIFE!!!"
