Megan Thee Stallion Does One Piece Monkey D. Luffy Cosplay With Devil Fruit Nails

Megan Thee Stallion is back with a new cosplay. Shortly after her Love Island appearance in Fiji, the rapper took to TikTok to share her take on Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece.

Both in anime and live-action form, the adventurous main character, known as the leader of the Straw Hat Pirates, wears a signature red vest, denim shorts, and of course, a straw hat. While Megan stuck to the color palette, she put her own twist on some elements, including the stunning nail set.

Megan wore a red v-neck crop top that showed off her belly ring and a pair of denim cargos with a yellow patterned scarf wrapped around the hips in lieu of a belt. She wore her hair in loose curls with straight bangs and put a straw hat with a red ribbon on top of head, just like Luffy.

However, Megan added much more glam than Luffy typically wears while he’s looking for the “One Piece.” She wore cat eyeliner with highlighter in the inner corners, a touch of bright pink blush, and a glossy light pink lip with brown liner. The most eye-catching detail of all? Her manicured nails. She wore a long coffin-shaped set covered in a neutral base with Devil Fruit, the magical food that gives the characters on the show special powers, on the tips. She made sure to include the Gum Gum Fruit that gave Luffy his ultra-stretchy abilities, obviously.

This isn’t the first time Megan has cosplayed an anime character. Around this time last year, she dressed up as Sailor Moon and did the “Mamushi” challenge for TikTok. For the Anime Awards 2024, she went as Bruno Bucciarati from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. She ended her trip to Japan with a Jolyne “JoJo” Cujoh cosplay as well. Previously, she also paid homage to Jujutsu Kaisen's Sukuna, Saiki K, and Mortal Kombat.

What character is next for Megan Thee Stallion? Only time will tell. But with the new season of live-action One Piece on the horizon, Luffy was a solid choice. We can’t help but wonder if we’ll see her dress up as other members of the Straw Hats crew.
