If You Still Don’t Have an Air Fryer (or Need an Upgrade), Are Our 5 Favorites

Our eyes have been on this one for a couple of months now, and honestly, as far as dedicated air fryers go, it doesn’t get much classier than this. The aesthetics are stellar, with a touchscreen control panel on top that goes dark when it’s not in use and a stainless steel coating on the outside. The elevated design meets a need for practicality and safety. It’s got a PFAS-free cooking chamber, which means everything gets cooked in a nontoxic ceramic chamber free from microplastics.
A smart toaster oven combo can save space (and many of them look nicer than the typical rotund air fryer shape), but if you already have one you love, or are just dead set on a device dedicated to air frying, this is the best-looking one you can get.
The Wonder Oven is not technically just an air fryer. But if your kitchen’s vibe leans more kitschy and space is a valuable commodity, it may just be exactly what you need. You can crisp up some veggies or freezer snacks in its shallow basket, or swap out for the wire rack when it’s time for toast.
There’s no screen here, just three physical dials. We love that. It’s intuitive, easy to pick up for someone who’s upgrading their toaster oven for the first time in two decades. And like everything from Our Place, it is nontoxic and made with PFAS-free coatings. Each color is its own vibe, but we rock with the beige “steam” because it’s unique without being too overtly cutesy.

This one is really the “best-looking toaster oven” that also happens to be a killer air fryer. At it’s core, its a Breville Smart Oven, which we heralded as the best toaster oven not too long ago. And before you ask, yes, it has a whole air fry mode that does top-notch work air frying in small batches. It comes in either stainless steel, sea salt white, tapenade green, or Damson blue, all with brass accents and buttons. Seriously, there’s no wrong answer here. Each color is gorgeous in its own way.
If the retro aesthetics of your apartment aren’t meshing with the Breville brass or the colorful Our Place vibe, you may be a snob. That’s okay, so are we, so here’s an air fryer we can all enjoy once we decide who’s footing the bill. It’s minimalist, easy-to-operate, and unquestionably stunning.
This is Smeg we are talking about. That means made in Italy. It means nostalgic midcentury appliance vibes. The white look is clean, but the cream is wonderfully vintage. The black looks great too, more metallic looking than hard plastic.
Beyond air frying, there’s something like nine other modes in this thing, including a steam function. It even has a water reservoir so you don’t have to add per serving and get the amount right. Like any good machine, it does the math for you. Just one of many “smarter than it looks” functions of this all-in-one countertop wonder.

This is a great example of a workaday classic getting a shiny new coat of paint. The XL version of the Ninja Air Fryer Pro is basically the large version of the machine that popularized the form—for better and worse—if your uncle or grandma has an air fryer, it’ll be a Ninja. Functionally, it’s one of the damn best and has a basket large enough for many servings of chicken wings . . . for example.
Sure, it’s still got an oblong shape and a control panel that takes up a fair deal of real estate, but a gold color instead of aluminum and a stone finish instead of black plastic go a long way to make it look a little bit luxe. The trick works, and the result is stunning, with parts that are all still dishwasher safe.
